A few spots to find guitar teachers for children.

Finding children guitar lessons is easier than one might think. When seeking out a teacher, for either children guitar lessons, or adult, the first place you will want to check is any local music shops that happen to be near your home. Often times the people working in these places offer lessons. Even is the shop doesn’t offer lessons it is almost a guarantee that the people working know someone who does. Often times people offering lessons will leave their cards or contact information at these shops.

Around the internet is another good place to look for teachers giving children guitar lessons. There are also training aids, and information which can be of great help to any person who wants to learn how to play the guitar, weather they be young or old.

You might also want to check your local phone book to see if there are any music instructors listed for the area. It is surprising how often people overlook the usefulness of the phone book when looking for instruction.
Speaking to a school music teacher may also be a good idea. Many school music programs have teachers who also work as music tutors outside of the classroom, and while the schools music program may not cater to people seeking to learn to play guitar the teachers themselves might. Music teachers are also trained in education and working with children, and may be better suited for children guitar lessons than some tutors you might find in other places.
